Akustiko, is an instrumental guitar duo featuring Simon Taylor and Russell Jarrett. Their music blends contemporary styles such as pop, funk, blues and folk with jazz, latin and classical influences, always with a large element of improvisation. The repertoire includes quirky arrangements of popular music as well as jazz standards and original compositions. They perform on acoustic guitars, both steel and nylon strung, and can also add bass and/or percussion.
