We would like to help make your function special and memorable. Akustiko are available to provide their instrumental guitar music for private functions, parties, weddings, corporate functions, events, and are available for public performances at live music venues and festivals.
Booking a band requires a bit of thought and planning.
Stage and Seating
The duo requires a stage or area in which to perform and two armless chairs. Approximate space required is 2.5m x 2m minimum.
Outdoor events
We require a marquee/awning which gives cover overhead, to the rear and both sides to protect our instruments from the elements. We do not provide this service, but please check with us to ensure that the you are providing shelter that is adequate for our needs prior to booking. The marquee must be at least 2.5m x 2.5m and sturdily constructed. We regret we don not perform in rainy condiions unles complete weatherproof protection such as a suitable marquee is provided.
Power
Ensure there is a mains sockets available.
Lighting
We can provide lighting if required for a £50 fee.
Sound
We provide discreet amplification suitable for small venues and events. For larger events, we can use a PA system that is already on site provided we have assistance from an engineer to set up.
Setup time and sound check
The duo requires minimum time to setup although we would require a little time to do a sound check to ensure everything is working and sounding well balanced prior to event commencement. This can sometimes be difficult for more complex events, so planning is essential. If required, we can arrive earlier in the day to setup, but there will be an associated cost.
Band Size
Although a duo, for larger events, we can perform as a trio with bass or quartet with bass and percussion.
Style
We normally perform in smart casual attire, but we can cater for special requirements.
Refreshments
We require refreshments to be provided.
Prices start at £250 for two 40 minute sets with a short break. This includes a £100 deposit which secures our services.
